 Job Purpose

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supervising electrical maintenance teams and supporting daily operations at a power and desalination plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while meeting HSE, availability, reliability, efficiency, and budgetary targets. The position also supports major plant outages and long-term service agreements for gas turbines.


 Key Responsibilities

 Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure full compliance with IMS, HSE rules, and safety procedures

  • Enforce Permit-to-Work systems and approved method statements

  • Supervise technicians and contractors to maintain a safe work environment

  • Report unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents

  • Maintain zero HSE compliance breaches and low LTIFR


 Electrical Maintenance & Execution

  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

  • Ensure all work orders are completed and documented in CMMS

  • Maintain equipment as per OEM manuals and best practices

  • Review and improve electrical maintenance procedures

  • Ensure audit readiness at all times


 Troubleshooting & Reliability

  • Provide 24/7 call-out support for plant operations

  • Diagnose equipment failures and reduce downtime

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions

  • Coordinate with Operations teams to resolve electrical issues


📊 Planning, Reporting & Budgeting

  • Support outage planning and execution

  • Assist with maintenance budgeting and forecasting

  • Prepare accurate maintenance and failure reports


 Spares, Tools & Inventory

  • Ensure availability of certified tools and spare parts

  • Raise purchase requisitions for spares and consumables

  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition


 Technical Leadership & Staff Development

  • Coach and mentor electrical technicians and foremen

  • Deliver technical training programs

  • Support development and knowledge transfer to Saudi Nationals

  • Provide technical guidance to contractors and internal teams

 Technical Skills

  • Electrical maintenance in GT, ST, HRSG, combined cycle & desalination plants

  • Strong knowledge of power plant electrical systems

  • CMMS maintenance management experience

  • Understanding of international HSE standards

  • Equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis

  • Vendor and contractor coordination

  • Strong English communication and computer literacy
