Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Office Receptionist, you will provide essential front office and administrative support to ensure a smooth patient experience. Your responsibilities include:

Greeting and checking in patients upon arrival

Ensuring completion of registration and medical forms
-
Collecting copays and assisting patients as needed
-
Answering incoming phone calls and managing inquiries
-
Creating and verifying full patient registrations
-
Communicating with Benefit Coordinators regarding insurance updates
-
Coordinating with providers about patient arrivals and needs
-
Preparing patient charts and requesting medical records from outside providers
-
Scheduling new and follow-up appointments
-
Obtaining referrals and authorizations for visits and testing
-
Following up on missed appointments via phone or mail

Monitoring patient flow and keeping patients informed of wait times

Performing additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma or GED (required)
Experience
-
Minimum of two (2) years of related medical office or healthcare front desk experience
Skills & Competencies

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
